[Ningde Times plans to launch new battery technology with a range of more than 800 kilometers by 2030] Ningde Times is working on a new battery integration technology that can install batteries directly into the chassis of electric vehicles. Zeng Yuqun, chairman of Ningde Times, said at the China Automobile Blue Book Forum on Aug. 12 that by adopting the new technology, electric vehicles could have a range of more than 800km (500 miles). Ningde Times plans to launch the technology by 2030. Zeng Yuqun did not say whether Ningde era has worked with other automakers to implement the new design. According to Zeng Yuqun, the full name of the technology is CTC (Cell to Chassis). This technology integrates the core and chassis, and then integrates motor, electric control, vehicle high voltage such as DC/DC, OBC and so on through innovative architecture, and optimizes power distribution and reduces energy consumption through intelligent power domain controller. CTC will enable the cost of new energy vehicles to compete directly with fuel vehicles, with more passenger space and better chassis passability.

(Tesla dominates the US electric vehicle market Model 30% of the best-selling models in the first half of the year) Tesla is still the leading force in the US electric vehicle market, and his Model 3 is the best-selling electric vehicle in the first half of this year. The Model 3 sold more than 38000 vehicles in the first half of the year, five times that of the Chevrolet Bolt and 152 times that of the BMW i3, according to Clean Technica. Despite the dominance of the Model 3, its sales figures are still well below the 69000 vehicles in the same period last year, mainly due to the economic downturn caused by the novel coronavirus crisis and the divestiture of Model Y sales.

[Tesla's second electric car factory in the United States broke ground] Tesla announced not long ago that it had officially selected the site of Austin, Texas, to build the second electric car factory in the United States, but at present, the factory has entered rapid construction. Jerome Gillian, president of Tesla, which is in charge of the automotive business, said that "the electric car factory in Texas is under construction at full speed," and the company has announced a large number of jobs. At present, a construction contractor has taken over the factory land and began to carry out land formation and other work.

[BMW accelerates electrification transformation to expand new energy market] BMW Group said that as of July this year, BMW Group's BMW and MINI brands accounted for about 13.3% of new energy vehicle license plates in the European market. BMW Group expects this number to rise to 25% by 2021, 1/3 by 2025 and 50% by 2030.

[Mullen announces solid-state battery test results for electric vehicles with a maximum range of 1030 km] Electric vehicle maker Mullen Technologies recently announced independent test results for its licensed solid-state polymer battery technology, which will allow electric vehicles to have a maximum range of 1030 kilometers, which will greatly extend the range of electric vehicles compared to existing lithium batteries.

[the number of fast charging piles for electric vehicles in the UK has surged by 363 per cent over the past five years] it is reported that the latest official figures show that the number of fast charging piles for public electric vehicles in the UK has increased by 363 per cent in the past five years. According to figures released jointly by the Department of Transport and Zap-Map, there are 3206 public quick-charging piles in the UK as of July 2020. At the same time, the total number of public charging piles (including fast and slow charging) in the UK is also increasing, with the total number of charging piles in the UK rising 11 per cent so far this year to 18265. Last year, the number of charging piles in the UK exceeded the number of gas stations for the first time.

"2020 (second) China Automotive New Materials Application Summit Forum"

It was solemnly held in Shanghai from September 17 to 18.

During the reform period of the "four modernizations of the automobile", intelligent network connection, new energy, lightweight and intelligent manufacturing entered the field of the automobile industry, and the automobile era was reinterpreted. The surging changes require the industry to continue to integrate and innovate, and quickly promote the development rate of automobile enterprises. With the emergence of self-driving and intelligent cars, Internet companies, which are not active in the automotive field, have more opportunities to show their talents; the double points policy is becoming an important driving force for the development of China's new energy vehicle industry; in the face of environmental constraints, car companies speed up the application of advanced lightweight components and technologies to achieve vehicle weight loss. With the continuous promotion of the strategies of "Industrial 4.0" and "made in China 2025", intelligent manufacturing has become a new challenge of upgrading and transformation.

Under the guidance of the Shanghai Economic and Informatization Commission and the Shanghai Federation of Industrial economy, in order to accelerate the application of automobile lightweight and product lines, the Shanghai Nonferrous Metals Industry Association, together with Shanghai Automotive Engineering Society, Suzhou Die casting Technology Association and SMM, jointly held the "2020 (second) China Automotive New Materials Application Summit Forum". Jointly discuss material solutions, co-casting automobile industry chain green development closed loop, and strive to build an excellent communication and cooperation platform for the whole automobile industry chain, and lead the creation of advanced automobile industry clusters.
